This fulltime position reports to IT management and is responsible for the monitoring of production systems and applications for an international BPO and end-to-end solutions provider across seven locations. Our nearly 2,000 employees deliver unparalleled services in outsourcing, recovery and market research – across many diverse industries. Responsibilities will include:
Consistent monitoring and support of 24x7 operations of corporate systems and applications.
Immediate response, repair and recovery of application issues or failures.
Ensure accurate and successful completion of all regularly scheduled IT Operations tasks, whether automated or manual.
Escalation of level II/III issues to Application Support Engineer.
Perform regular reviews of database and system backup status and resolve any failures.
Record, prepare and present operational results and summaries to IT Management.
At least 1 year in a technical support role. Development experience is a plus.
Experience in writing SQL queries on Microsoft SQL database.
Experience using Windows command line tools: Power Shell, Scripting, Task Automation.
Knowledge of administering Citrix, VMWare.
Understanding of Information Security policies and procedures.
Possess high level critical thinking skills and the ability to identify, address and resolve complex issues.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment
Demonstrated team player focused on delivering results and who will promote innovation and teamwork.
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills are required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent education/professional work experience.
